Vice president Ali Osman Mohammed Taha plans to visit Riayad capital of Saudi Arabia kingdom Saturday to briefing Saudi leadership on ICC prosecutor general Luis Ocampo call of arrest warrant targets president Omar Al-Bashir on allegation of Darfur crisis. Taha said he would deliver a message from president Bashir to kingdom of Saudi Arabia leadership. He describes regional and local response of supporting government stance as unprecedented.
He said the support could exploit in handling the crisis politically. Taha said to Dream channel that, "Sudan sets itself for along battle to handle the situation that could include lots of chaos."

North Darfur State affirms support to President Al-Bashir's initiative for solving Darfur issue [2008-07-24] | | (SUNA) - Wali (Governor) of North Darfur State Osman Mohamed Yousif Kibir has reaffirmed support of Darfur people with all their affiliations to the initiative launched recently by the President of the Republic Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir for solving Darfur issue. Kibir, addressing a huge mass rally organized Wednesday in Al-Fashir on the occasion of President Al-Bashir's visit to North Darfur State, announced his government keenness to make the initiative a success, calling on the arms holders to work for the sake of peace. Ministry of Roads in South Says Road Contractors Received Budget Directly [2008-07-24] | | (smc)
Southern Sudan parliament rejects minister of road and communication statement related to road construction and calls for forwarding the construction of road contracts to national companies instead of foreign ones. MP Silaman Magor told (smc) that the minister stated that the budget allocated for building of roads was directly disbursed to contactors. Magor said that the parliament discovered that the minister did not order the concerned departments contracted with companies assigned for roads constructions. The parliament however urged the minister prepared a new report about the roads established in Juba. Magor said asphalted road in Juba not exceed more than 100 Kilometers long. The MPS demanded asphalting of roads to link Juba with Wau Rumbak and Yei.

SAF Announces Pullout from Abyei By 77% [2008-07-24] | | smcSudanese Armed Farces (SAF) announces commitment to implement roadmap for peace in Abyei signed recently. SAF spokesman Brigadier Osman Mohammed Al Aghbash told (smc) that SAF pullout of Abyei by 77% according to UN reports. He affirms that troops are pulling out from the area according to road map schedule. He noted that the Brigade no 31 has been in presence in the area for 40 year ago and could not redeploy in overnight.
The spokesman however denied allegation that SAF destroyed a church in Abyei. He said SAF has been executing its national obligation of protecting Sudanese national across the country without religious discrimination.
